The trial of Bukola Saraki, the Senate president continued at the Code of Conduct Tribunal today, April 18.
Saraki is facing a 13 count charge of corruption filed against him by the Code of Conduct Bureau and his case has been ongoing since September 22, 2015.
At the resumed hearing today, the CCT admitted that 43 documents has been presented as evidence against the Senate president. Some of these documents include account statements, cheques, letters and Code of Conduct Bureau forms.
Also, Michael Wetkas, an Economic and Financial Crimes Commission operative accused Saraki of buying a property worth N522million.
Following the resumed hearing, Nigerian have taken to social media to share their opinion. While some are accusing the trial judge of bribery, others are calling on Saraki to resign.
