6 years after Sikiru Ayinde Barrister’s death, see what happened to his son (photos)

Late fuji icon, Alhaji SIkiru Ayinde Barrister Almost six years after the death of fuji music creator, Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, one of his sons, Balogun Adefemi Adekanye has made him proud in his grave.

 Barrister Adefemi Balogun Adefemi recently graduated from Coventry University, UK, with an MBA with a distinction in oil and gas management. His proud mother was in UK to celebrate with him on his convocation. 

Adefemi shared photo of his certificate on Instagram along with that of his mother and captioned it: “MBA with distinction”

Adefemi Balogun and mum Sikiru Ayinde Barrister was the pioneer of fuji music, a brand of music which emanated from the popular Islamic song Were. Barrister died on December 16, 2010 in a UK hospital. 

Two of his children took after him musically; Wale Akanji Barrister, a fuji musician and popular Islamic singer, Barry Made. 

Meanwhile, popular fuji music singer, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall fondly called KWAM 1 or K1 for short cut his teeth in fuji music under the later Sikiru Ayinde Barrister.

 He was among those parking musical instrument of the late musician before he was discovered by the new Olubadan of Ibadanland Oba Saliu Adetunji. Even when he started singing on his own, K1 adopted the name Ayinde Barrister until he became known in the industry. Till dtae he still goes by the name Ayinde.
