These things are every parent’s worst nightmare, but Tim from Los Angeles was forced to live through the chilling experience in the summer of 2015.
One night Tim went to check up on his 12-year-old daughter. He must
have felt something wasn’t right, because the girl wasn’t anywhere to be seen. To add to the shock, her bedroom window was left open. The father and his older son immediately started searching the neighborhood, and they managed to find the girl only moments before she climbed into a stranger’s truck.
Tim dragged the man out of the car and knocked him down to the ground using self-defense techniques. He snapped a photo of the stranger and held him in place until police arrived. The man was arrested and accused of meeting up with a child with intentions to commit a sexual act.
It turned out the man had found Tim’s daughter online. He was using a fake profile to send her photos and messages while pretending to be a 15-year-old teenager. In reality, he was 27.
After the incident, Tim prohibited his daughter from using social networks. He warns all parents that if it happened to his daughter, the same thing might happen to others.
