'I killed Dr. Ivy Umanah because she owed me 100k' -Man who murdered UUTH Head Pathologist

The man who allegedly murdered a brilliant doctor in Akwa Ibom State said he killed her because she owed him some money.
Henry Silas, the stone hearted killer
The man suspected to have murdered the Head of Pathology of the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital (UUTH), Akwa Ibom State, Dr. Ivy UmanahHenry Silas, has confessed that he killed her because she owed him the sum of N100,000 after he had executed some assignments for her.

This much was revealed after the 44-year-old Umanah, who headed the Histopathology Department of the Teaching Hospital, was found dead in her home at the prestigious Shelter Afrique Extension, on April 21, 2016.
Her friends and family had called on the police to make sure the killer of the brilliant doctor who was from Ndon Eyo in Onna Local Government Area of the State, was captured and brought to book.
Silas, a native of Ikot Akpanawa in Ika Local Government Area, was later found locking the gate of the deceased house and was in possession the deceased television and car keys and when asked of the whereabout of the deceased, told the police that she went out that morning accompanied with some people in a black Siena vehicle, but that she had called him to get the car key, which she had kept somewhere, remove the television from the car and take same for repairs.

He was initially arrested and taken to the Divisional Police Station at Shelter Afrique Extension, but later released on bail.
But after much outcry, he was rearrested and during interrogation, he confessed to have used an iron rod to kill the woman because she refused to pay him the money as well as slapping him when he demanded for his money.
After Silas had confessed to the police, Essien Ndueso, a Special Assistant to Governor Udom Emmanuel, posted this on his Facebook wall:
"This man from Ika local government admitted yesterday that he killed Dr Ivy Umanah in her residence. His reason was that she refused to pay him a debt of N100,000 after he had performed some tiling duties for her.
According to him, she repeatedly refused to honour her obligation to pay him, despite his executing the assignment. On that fateful Wednesday, after again disappointing him, she slapped him and he retaliated by using the rod he found in her premises to smash her to her sad end.
He however has not been able to explain why he absconded with her ATM cards, car key, and TV sets. Neither could he justify his disappearance until he was caught by the gallant men of the Nigerian Police in Abia State.
Unfortunately Dr Ivy Umanah is not alive to respond to this allegations, but just how much debt can justify such a nasty action?"
