A housewife, Mrs Josephine Onwuzuruike and her secret lover, Ekene Onyeka, were on Thursday sentenced to death by hanging by Justice Benson Ogbuh of an Ebonyi State High Court.
Mrs. Onwuzuruike and Onyeka had in 2008, at Azuiyiokwu in Abakaliki, the state capital, butchered her husband and kept his body parts inside a cupboard. She claimed that she did it because her husband built another house other than the one they were living without her knowledge.

She then contacted her boyfriend Onyeka who joined her in killing her husband.
Delivering judgment, Justice Ogbuh found the accused persons guilty of the offence and convicted them. He sentenced them to death by hanging.
During trial, Mrs. Onwuzuruike broke down and wept uncontrollable. She begged the judge to be lenient on her because of her children. But the judge said he/she who kill must also be killed.
The so called boyfriend did not even say anything, after all he has seen the consequences of sleeping with a woman who is married. People just using their hands to destroy their lives for what? Sigh!
This spirit of competition; 'if my do this I will do that', is demonic. Wives, be submissive to your man.
