Fuji act, Alhaji Rahman Akanni, popularly known as RK1, has described Fuji icon, Wasiu Ayinde, a.k.a K1 as a genuine leader, who has contributed immensely to the growth of Fuji music.
The Ogbomoso-based act added that K1 deserves to be celebrated among other Fuji acts as a result of his influence and effort in promoting and re-branding Fuji, just as he revealed that he is determined to take a cue from K1’s ideology in re-branding the genre of music with the infusion of sophisticated musical instruments.
RK1 whose style of music has semblance with K1 said his relationship with the Fuji icon is cordial, adding that, “I hold K1 in a very high esteem. I love his fighting spirit and his generosity for the growth of our industry. I have never regretted our relationship since we met in 1989. His large heart has opened doors for me. He was not threatened since he discovered that our style of music has same semblance, instead, he gave me a platform to excel in the industry.”
The Fuji artiste is currently making plans to embark on a music tour to the United State in August.
