Woman allegedly blasphemed Prophet Mohammed mobbed by angry youths in Kano



A woman trader, who was alleged to have blasphemed Prophet Mohammed, has been mobbed to death by irate youths in Kano.
The victim was according to report, accused of blasphemy, during a religious argument at Wambai market.
Report also revealed that the woman, who sells plastics at the local market was in the company of her husband when she was murdered.
The Public Relations Officer of the Kano Police Command, DSP Musa Magaji, while reacting to the case, confirmed the incident, stating that there was a religious disagreement between the deceased and some traders at the market square.
''The woman was said to have blasphemed Prophet Mohammed, which did not go down well with the mob," DSP Magaji said. 
He also confirmed that the victim was in the company of her husband when the incident happened, but the timely intervention of the police saved the husband, who was immediately whisked for safety.
