Bill Cosby is said to be completely blind after suffering from a degenerative eye condition.
The comedian is reportedly housebound and living "in his own personal hell", with only his wife Camille for support, as he prepares to face trial over allegations of sexual assault.
Cosby, 79, used a cane and held the arm of an associate as he arrived for a preliminary hearing earlier this month. A source told the New York Post's Page Six: "His alleged victims may take some solace in the fact that he's in his own personal hell.
"He has been suffering a degenerative eye disease and is completely blind. All his Hollywood friends have turned their backs on him."
Cosby is believed to be suffering from keratoconus, a condition that cause the cornea to bulge.
