He stated these during the Funeral Service conducted for the departed brilliant young man by Power City International at his home town, Ikot Udo Otto.

At this unfortunate dark time, we offer you our thoughts, prayers and condolences". Continuing, the State Chief Executive added that, "it is important to be reminded that the greatest compliment to a passing companion is to keep their memories alive. We understand Ukeme was committed to a life of responsibility and academic excellence, may we be strengthened and assisted to carry on with the very virtues that genuinely pleased him, and which would continue to reverberate the legendary and iconic principles of a man who was in a class of his own".
