GARDAI are appealing for information after a man was seriously assaulted
in the early hours of this morning, and subsequently died.
The incident happened in Swords in north Co Dublin at around 3am.
The exact circumstances are being investigated.
"On Sunday the 16th July 2017 at approximately 3.05am Gardaí attend at North Street, Swords, where a male was found with serious injuries," a garda spokesman said. .
"He was attended to by Medical Personnel but was subsequently
pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased male, believed to be in his
30s, remains at the scene."
The scene at North Street is preserved for an examination. The road has been closed from the junction of North Street/Seatown Road to North Street/Entrance to Carnegie Court Apartments.

"Gardai wish to appeal for witnesses who may have been in or around
North Street between 1.30am and 3am this morning or to anyone who may
had drove around the area and have ‘Dash Cam’ footage from their
