Fake Military Officer Arrested For Selling Army Uniforms To Armed Robbers

A 24-year old man, Alabi Dimeji, who had been parading himself as a Nigerian military officer and reportedly sold army uniforms to suspected criminals has been apprehended.
Dimeji, who is now cooling his head at Kirikiri prison met his dead end when he was arrested at college bus stop in Isolo, Lagos.

He was said to have put on the Nigerian military uniform and had other uniforms inside his bag which he was taking to his clients. When he was accosted, he could not identify himself properly and could not explain where he was taking the uniforms to.

Dimeji was arrested and taken to the station where he reportedly confessed that he was not a military officer but used to sell the uniforms to those who used them as camurflage during operations.

Revealing details of those who patronized him, it was gathered they were two sets of people involved. One set was those who escort vehicles and goods, and the other were believed to be suspected criminals who used them for operations.

According to PM Express, he was charged before Isolo Magistrates court for the alleged offence.

He pleaded not guilty.

The presiding Magistrate, O.G. Oghre granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum. He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.

The matter was adjourned till 27 November, 2017.
