Nigerian footballer and Shanghai Greenland Shenhua striker, Obafemi Martins donated wheelchairs, crutches and hospital beds to the Lagos State Government through his foundation on Thursday.
In a statement by the Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode who received him at his office, he said: ‘We thank him for this act of selfless service and commitment to giving back to his fatherland especially Lagos State.’
The football star, Obafemi Martins some months back donated wheelchairs and crutches, through his foundation, to Nigerians with disabilities through his foundation, The Obafemi Martins Foundation.
The footballer currently plays in the Chinese Football League.
