Additional remains of US soldier Sgt. La David Johnson found in Niger

Additional remains of US soldier, Sgt. La David Johnson, 25, who was killed during an ambush last month, have been found in West African nation of Niger.

According to the Pentagon on Tuesday,  the soldier's remains were recovered when a military investigation team traveled to the site on November 12 as part of their investigation into the ambush by ISIS fighters.
US officials said the Armed Forces Medical Examiner identified the remains as those of 25-year-old Sgt Johnson whose body was among four other US soldiers Sgt. Bryan C. Black, Sgt. Jeremiah W. Johnson and Sgt. Dustin M. Wright who were killed by about 50 Islamist militants on October 4.
However, the Pentagon did not reveal details on what additional remains had been recovered. "We extend our deepest condolences to all of the families of the fallen," it said in a statement.
Last month, his pregnant widow, Myeshia Johnson, told the ABC that she had begged authorities to let her see her dead husband's body when his remains were brought back to the US but she wasn't allowed.
'Every time I asked to see my husband, they wouldn't let me. They tell me that he's in a severe wrap, that I won't be able to see him,' she said in the interview with Good Morning America.
'They won't show me a finger, a hand. I know my husband's body from head to toe and they won't let me see anything. I don't know what's in that box it could be empty for all I know,' the mother of two said.
