When I was a kid, my dad bought a new car and drove us to church one Sunday. It was a prophetic service and our pastor was being used by God that day to deliver people from poverty.

Suddenly, our pastor looked at my dad and said, "Mr. Alamu, God is set to bless you" my mum jumped up and shouted excitedly, "Amen!!!" My dad was excited too.

The pastor then came closer, placed his hand on my dad's head and prayed for him. As our pastor turned to climb the altar, the spirit of God told him something.

He stopped, looked at my dad and said, "Mr. Alamu did you buy a new car last week?" "Yes sir" my dad responded with much surprise on his face.

Then our pastor said; God said I should tell you to sow your CAR KEY into my life"

I was shocked that my dad did not argue with the pastor, he just put his hand in his pocket, brought out the car key and gave it to our pastor.

Chai... Aiyeeee ooooo...Mogbe
After about 5 minutes, my dad stood up, went outside the church, he didn't even wait till the end of the service. I could see him entering Okada going home. "He must be very worried" I reasoned in utter fear and confusion.

After a while he returned to church with the SPARE KEY of his car and drove the car back to the house.

I was so stunned at what I was seeing.

So when I asked him why he acted that way he said: "Oluwayomi" always use your brain, the pastor asked for the KEY and NOT the CAR"! Thanking you so much my BABA for impacting knowledge.

Tragic! Nigerian man stabbed to death on a train in Canada

46-year-old Nigerian father of three and nursing student, Nicholas Ozoechi Nwonye was stabbed to death in Canada, an attack the police say was random and unprovoked.

Nwonye was on his way home from Hersak’s lecture hall when the deadly attack took place, at 6:45 p.m. on the westbound platform of the City Hall LRT station in downtown Calgary last Friday night, June 2.
Stabbed in the chest and abdomen by a man he’d never met, Nwonye was rushed to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. He only recently moved to Canada with his wife and three children from Nigeria, and was only four weeks into his nursing program before his tragic death.

A man accused of the fatal stabbing was caught by the police as he attempted to flee the scene in an eastbound train. Keeton Michel Gagnon, 39, (pictured) has been charged with second-degree murder. He will next appear in court on Friday, June 23, 2017. Gagnon has a long criminal history with police in British Columbia dating back two decades, reports CBS. He is a career criminal with dozens of convictions including assault with a weapon, robbery, escaping custody, and many breaches.

Friends have described the deceased as a kind person who, even in the briefest of moments, left an indelible impression.
“He was just such a treat to have there,” said Rhonda Hersak, an instructor at Bow Valley College, where Nwonye was enrolled in the school’s practical nursing program.
"He was a very kind, empathetic individual. He smiled all the time."
Hersak remembered Nwonye as a deeply spiritual man whose faith formed a large part of his life.
"Being the only male in the class, Nwonye brought a unique insight, Hersak said — laughing as she described him being responsible for the creation of some “pleasant controversy” during in-class discussions.
Despite only being a student for a short time, Hersak said Nwonye made a definite impression, both on his fellow students and the faculty.
“He had an impact. He had a really big impact in the classroom,” she said. "He will be missed in the classroom. I know this for a fact."
The deceased's wife, Ugonna Nwonye described her husband as a righteous man.
"He was a righteous man" she said. "That means he was good in every aspect of life----spiritual and physical."
"He was a good father'. I 've never seen his kind before....he was too good" she added.

The other attacker was Rachid Redouane, 30, from Barking, who police said had claimed to be Moroccan-Libyan.

The attackers were shot dead by police, so their case is settled.

Again, all 12 people arrested after the attack have now been released without charge because they couldn’t link the attack to them.

Update! Nigerian woman accused of killing her hubby in Ibadan reveals the truth

The murder case of Mrs Yewande Oyediran, the woman who allegedly stabbed her husband, 38 year old Oyediran Ajanaku to death at their Akobo estate home in Ibadan, Oyo state on February 2nd 2016 after a domestic dispute came up for hearing yesterday June 5th.

During her cross examination, Yewande denied killing her husband, claiming she loved him. Led in evidence by her lead Counsel, Leye Adepoju, Yewande narrated how her late husband met his untimely death on the day of the incident.

"We earlier had a scuffle in which my late husband beat me up and it was settled by our landlord and his wife and my husband had gone for treatment in a neighbourhood hospital, after I had inflicted some cuts on him, because he had pressed me on the bed and continually hit me. This was the aftermath of a phone call I received from a woman on that night who had earlier claimed that she had a child for my husband. My husband confirmed it and we have quarreled over it, but had settled the issue since she first called me on July 7, 2015. However, after some few hours, he became angry again and started hitting me with a plank. He was angry about the wounds and threatened to retaliate. I managed to escape and he still followed me outside with a knife and pressed me to our Landlord’s car. Later, I felt that I have been able to push him off me, only to later realise that it was actually our landlord that had helped me out of his grips. I rushed to our landlord’s flat and once inside, i turned to see what was going on behind me, only to see my husband coming after me. Suddenly, I saw him falling on his back as he tried to climb the steps to the apartment. I rushed back after him and tried to pull him up only to see blood gushing out of his neck. I quickly shouted for help and the landlord and his wife together with his son and a Doctor whose clinic was on our street, tried to apply first aid. My landlady told my Landlord to take my husband to the hospital, but he declined saying that there was blood on his car and so needed to wash it before he can take it out.
"My landlord and I went to our neighbour, Mrs Olubunmi Onipede, to help me take him to the hospital, but she refused too, saying that I earlier insulted her when she came to intervene in the earlier scuffle. Eventually, she agreed to take us to the hospital later I have promised to fuel her car the next day, because she had told us she didn’t have fuel in her car. While on our way to the University Teaching Hospital, UCH, as advised by the Doctor inside our compound, our neighbour, stopped at the hospital on our street claiming that we needed to collect a referral, but the Nurse on duty, said we didn’t need one and I also heard the voice of the Doctor in the back ground telling her we didn’t need one, but that we should rush to UCH. We proceeded towards the hospital only for her to take Akobo Road, when we got to General Gas Road, instead of the Iwo Road that is shorter, I asked why she was taking the route, but she replied that we must take him to the nearest hospital because it was an emergence case. At that time, I still kept calling my husband, ”lowo”, ”lowo” and he was nodding to me even though his eyes were closed".
Yewande emphatically denied killing her husband

"I did not kill my husband. I love my husband, even if we quarrel, it won’t be to the point of death”.
The presiding judge and Chief Judge of Oyo state, Justice Munta Abimbola, afterwards adjourned the case till July 10 for adoption of the written addresses of both the prosecutor and the defence counsel.

28 yr old Lesbian faces deportation after failing ‘Gay Test’ in Sweden

A 28-year-old Kenyan lesbian seeking asylum in Sweden has had her application rejected simply because the country's migration board does not believe her sexual orientation.
Nairobi Wire reports that Lucy Murugi fled from Kenya two years ago after her family turned their backs on her. But later got help through a cousin who helped get a visa and accommodation in Stockholm, Sweden.
Speaking to Swedish journalists, Lucy said that she applied for asylum but was rejected by the Swedish Migration Board 14 months later because she failed the interviews that form the basis for the credibility of the assessment.

According to her, the Migration Board’s questions were almost incomprehensible to her: 'I did not understand anything. No one told me what to expect. What I would do or say, or at least give me some guidelines,' she said.
Asked what it feels like not to be believed, she said: “It feels horrible and disappointing. It breaks down one. You realize that you made a mistake somewhere and when you try to fix it so you will rarely get a second chance.”

Lucy now fears she might be deported back to Kenya where homosexuality is criminalized and punishable by up to 14 years in prison.

She further alleges her name has been released as a lesbian in the infamous Ugandan Tabloid Red Pepper among 200 African homosexuals.
