Officers of the Delhi Police’s Crime Branch have arrested three Nigerian nationals and a local woman for duping people to the tune of over one crore rupees in fake lottery schemes.

The accused have been identified as Nigerian IT engineer, Suleiman Lawal (62) alias Benjamin, his Indian wife Bandana Chhetri alias Niki Anjali Gupta (43) Ugochukwu Usifo alias Brown Bruno (32), and Ichaba Lucky Igele (41)

The accused used to send text messages and e-mails to the unsuspecting victims informing them that they had won huge amounts in lottery schemes.

"The gang would cheat people by sending them fake lottery messages and e-mails. Names of companies like Coca-Cola, Samsung, Toyota, Ford, Chevrolet, International Monetary Fund and the UN were used as well to lure people,"  said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) G Ramgopal Naik.
Through these organisations, police said, the gang would tell people that they had won a lottery worth a million dollars.

The police received a complaint from a farmer, Sardar Kamaljeet Singh of Punjab, who told them that he was cheated of a sum of one a half crore rupees by Nigerians. He added that an Indian woman was calling him, demanding an additional Rs 45 lakhs, claiming that they needed to bribe police officials with this money in order to get his winnings cleared. The complainant was called to Delhi by the accused to pay the last instalment.

On June 23, a trap was lad by the Crime Branch sleuths at a bus stand in south Delhi's Malviya Nagar and two of the accused were arrested. Four mobile phones, fake US dollars, three laptops ans passports were seized from their possession. Two more arrest, including that of the Indian woman, were made subsequently.

Benjamin told the police that his visa expired in February 2014 but he continued staying in India illegally. In order to earn quick bucks he contacted his Nigerian counterparts in Delhi. Since Brown Bruno was an IT expert he took the data of clients and sent bulk messages and emails to lure them on the pretext of lottery amount from Coca-Cola, Samsung, International Monetary Fund, and the UN.
The gang members also spoke to the alleged targets in the voice of a woman using a software. They then sent messages to many people and later sent them fake documents related to the lottery from the Directorate of Income Tax, Monetary Fund, RBI, UN on the pretext that they had won a million US dollars.

The Nigerian High Commission has been informed of the arrests.

The notorious Badoo gang has struck again in Ikorodu. This time it was at Olopomeji, Odogunyan area of Ikorodu. They attacked a family of 5 in the middle of the night with a grinding stone, with the husband, wife, and one of the children dying instantly. The other two children were rushed to the hospital and are said to be in a critical condition.

But wait, is it that nothing can be done to this notorious evil group? Where is OPC when you need them? This is not the first, not the second time, not even the 10th time. Where are security personnel when you need them? Knowing they operate at night, these people should be on ground. We don’t live in a lawless state for crying out loud. These people are just breaking laws upandan and no one is challenging them. Is it until they get to the Island where Government officials/their families live before something is done?. They are Lagosians and they have every right to be protected, enough now. Another photo showing sympathizers gathered on the street of the incident.

Actress Uchenna Stella Revealed - “I Love S ex And Good At It”

Potential suitors of Nigerian actress, Uche Ella have nothing to fear as the light-skinned lady is a ‘First Class’ material in bed.
Upcoming actress, Uchenna Stella, who recently featured in ‘Wedding Party’, has assured her future husband not to worry about her s*xual performance.

In a chat with RazzleDazzle, when asked to rate herself in bed over a scale of hundred, “I could rate myself 90 per cent, I know I’m very good in bed, so my future husband has nothing to worry about”.
On her take on s*x and long distance relationship, “we all know that s*x before marriage is very wrong, but in this modern world, most guys will tell you they must have a taste of what they want to buy before purchasing, and I’m like, what are they talking about?
“But seriously, it’s not easy to abstain; its take grace and self-control.

“As for me, if I have to keep my body for a good man, I will because it’s something you will have to enjoy for the rest of your life, so it’s worth waiting for. As for long distance relationships, well, for some reason it’s good, that is, if they both understand and trust in God for each other and with constant communication it will go a long way. But if none of these are involved, it’s very likely it won’t work.
“Personally, I feel long term relationship doesn’t determine that the two people are meant for each other; I think it’s a waste of time.

“If you can date someone for three to four years, you guys are as good as being a couple, so why date for that long when you can make babies between those periods. At least, give a minimum of six months, maximum of one year and if he or she is not going towards your direction, move on, it’s not worth your time” she advised.

A domestic worker from Gweru, Zimbabwe has been arrested for allegedly killing and subsequently burning the body of his 68-year-old employer after she turned down his love proposal.

Emmanuel Sibanda (25) of Plot 50 Ruby Farm yesterday appeared before Gweru magistrate Mr Musaiona Shortgame facing a charge of murder.  He was not asked to plead and remanded in custody to July 7 for confirmation of his warned and cautioned statement. Sibanda was advised to apply for bail at the High Court.

State prosecutor, Mr Daniel Tapfuma told the court that on June 21, Sibanda had a misunderstanding with his employer Mrs Jerina Chipato after she turned down his love proposal.

“Sibanda went on to attack the now deceased by striking her once on her head with a dry log and she fell on the ground unconscious. The accused went on to drag the deceased into her kitchen hut and set alight the thatched roof,” he said.

The woman was burnt to death. Mr.Tapfuma said Sibanda then called out for help claiming that Mrs. Chipato had accidentally been burnt to death in her kitchen hut. He said suspicious neighbors who responded searched the accused’s bedroom hut for some clues on what could have happened.

“The matter came to light when the accused’s bedroom hut was searched, leading to the recovery of Sibanda’s clothes which were stained with blood. The deceased’s cellphone was also found hidden in his clothes,” said Mr Tapfuma.

Sibanda, in his warned and cautioned statement, confessed to murdering his boss. He said on the day in question, he had proposed love to Mrs. Chipato and she turned him down.

She then asked me to go and fetch water at night and we had a misunderstanding and I struck her with a log on the head. I then dragged her body to her kitchen hut and lit it to cover up the offence since it wasn’t my intention to kill her,” Sibanda said.

Update! Notorious kidnapper, Evans' victims cry out - Our lives are in danger

Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...
Some victims of the notorious kidnap kingpin, Chukwudumeje Onwuamadike “Evans”, have expressed fears that their lives may be in danger considering that there are members of his gang and people loyal to him who are yet to be arrested.

Chief Donatus Dunu, one of Evans' victims who escaped from the Igando hideout after plans were made to kill him, condemned the release of his worker, Emeka Egbulugha, who he claimed supplied inside information that led to his kidnap.

Another victim, who spoke under the condition of anonymity, said he was held by the abductors for six months and still lives with the trauma. He added that since his release, he keeps a low profile.

He said: “I am yet to get over the shock of my kidnap. Honestly, I am afraid to talk about it because I believe a lot of his members are still walking free. The police have done well by arresting him but they should round up all his other gang members.

“I was detained for six months until my family paid the last dime demanded. I have been hiding since my release. I know the trauma Evans and his members put me through. Till this day, I get scared when his name is mentioned. It took me two months before I could sign my cheque.

“Now, I heard that criminal is begging for forgiveness and that people are even campaigning for his release. Has he forgotten the damage he did to my family and many others? The police should please ensure his other members walking free are caught. That’s the only way I can feel safe.”

Dunu, the owner of Maydon Pharmaceutical Company, Ilupeju, Lagos, said the release of Emeka and a couple of others has placed his life and those of his family members in danger. He insisted that he saw Emeka at the kidnappers' den in Igando, when he was kept there as a victim for over two months.

He said: “Nobody should have allowed those suspected workers in my company to be granted bail in any guise because I have evidence of the active participation of, particularly, Emeka, my pharmacist. Releasing him has worsened my plight and that of my family.

“Why should police release Emeka, the chief accomplice in my kidnap? I not only heard his voice while in captivity, but saw him there few days after my kidnap. He came asking them where I was kept. When they showed him, he opened the door where they kept me in chains and our eyes met. Though I was blindfolded, I was about eating when I heard his voice and I normally remove the blind. That was how I saw him and I had the greatest shock of my life.

“He was always there with my abductors. His voice is unmistakable to me having stayed with him since 2003. The man in charge of the den, Uche, whom he claimed he does not know, speaks the same dialect with him. He is the person Emeka met each time he visited. There was also another member of the gang who spoke the Abakaliki dialect of Yoruba and I don’t know whether those arrested have confessed about his whereabouts to the police.

“I have a strong feeling that Uche and Emeka are from the same town because they speak the same dialect. Those guarding me were initially two. When the Abakaliki man travelled on Easter Monday, they brought another person to replace him. That one is very sick because he was coughing constantly. I knew that the Abakaliki man travelled because I heard Emeka discussing with Uche, asking whether he had travelled and Uche said, yes.

“That same Easter Monday, I overheard Emeka and Uche saying “We will kill him.  We have no alternative until chairman comes back.”

“Two weeks after, chairman came back and I knew whenever he visited because they shut all the doors and switch on the generator perhaps, to stifle their discussions.  His visit did not last more than 10 minutes and that was the first and only time he came to the den while I was there.  That same night, the Abakaliki man brought noodle for my dinner.

“He told me to eat so that I will have enough energy to face ‘us at the canal.’ They later told me that canal is where they use to ‘bath’ their captives and I concluded that it means where they killed their victims. I was made to understand that the Abakaliki man is the one that would kill me if chairman gives the order.

“That was when I realised the killing they were discussing with Emeka was about to take place.  Earlier, I thought that the killing they were discussing must be probably another person. But after this canal; discussion, I now knew that I was their target.  After that, I overheard Emeka again, about two weeks later, discussing with Uche saying ‘If they want to kill him, they should kill him.  In fact, kill him.’

“Then, their last discussion was on Wednesday before my escape on Friday. I heard Emeka again asking whether they had killed me. They said no, it was going to be Friday night. That was when I concluded that it was all over.”

The Nation reports that when asked if he had any disagreement with Emeka before his kidnap, Dunu said the only thing he remembered was making some adjustments after he suspected Emeka was fleecing him.

He said: “I suspected that he and some of my boys were stealing goods from my warehouse and I made changes, which I suspect did not favour him. I strongly suspect that this must be his motive to connive with those kidnappers.  In fact, before my abduction, we had a meeting with a foreign partner and I remember vividly that during one of my telephone conversations with their chairman whom I suspect is Evans, he asked me who the two ladies in my office were the same day I was kidnapped.

“Emeka came to the office that same day and those ladies were with me.  Why did the chairman ask that question? Who told him that I was with two ladies in my office? These are the unanswered questions police should have asked.

“Secondly, my kidnappers told me that they have a group picture of my staff which we took last January.  We use to meet every January and all the sales representatives including Emeka attended. They also claimed they went to take inventory of the goods in my warehouse. Yes, they did but we are still auditing to know whether goods were missing or not.

“Even, an account opening document was found in Emeka’s official car before he was taken to the anti-kidnapping unit after his arrest.  Emeka was the only visitor that came to the den while I was there. He was not an ordinary friend to those that guarded me.

“I feel so bad that the police allowed the court to set him free thereby endangering my life. I don’t think the police carried out a thorough investigation after the so-called identification parade which was simply a charade. I am calling on the police authorities to do the needful by re-arresting Emeka and investigating him thoroughly.”

The police have explained why Emeka and a couple of other kidnappers were released.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Administration, Dansuki Galandashi, said  Emeka and two others, Kingsley and Tochukwu, were arrested and charged to court on May 17. The suspects, he said, were remanded in prison custody before court granted them bail on June 23.

“Before they were granted bail, Evans was arrested. We did an identification parade and they said they did not know Evans. Evans also claimed not to know any of them. “Since the Inspector-General of Police (IGP’s) creed is to inspire openness, we had no choice than to charge the case to court. The court looked at the evidences and released the suspects. The police did not release them, the court did,” Galandashi said.

Update! Tonto Dikeh reveals more in defence of her claims that she gave her ex-hubby money for her brideprice

Tonto Dikeh is still insisting that she gave her estranged hubby, Oladunni Olakunle money to pay her bride price when they got married in August 2015. One of her fans/friends, by the name cutie juls, put up an argument on her page this morning saying that Tonto Dikeh couldn't have lied that she gave Churchill money for him to pay her bride price.

Tonto took to the comment section to say that the truth may be silent for a while but it would one day be revealed. Read what the friend wrote and Tonto's comment after the cut ...

"To all those insulting Tonto because Tonto's family were seen refunding Tonto's bride price to Churchill lack common sense, I'm afraid. Why would anyone jump to a conclusion that she lied that money used in paying her bride price is hers just because it's been refunded to Churchill's family? . So do you think both Tonto and Churchill were going to tell their families when they were getting married that the money for the bride price was hers and not his? . Wow! Do you think a father would have given his daughter's hand in marriage to a man who couldn't afford the basics like bride price? . You all should shut up already. Do you know the amount of things women do for themselves but give their men the glory just because we want them to look responsible in the eyes of the public? . Wow! For me personally, even though some of the issues that came out were very disturbing but trust me I believe 99.9% of everything that Tonto has allegedly said. The remaining 0.01% is because I cannot verify whether she said it all not. I am not taking sides here, I am only applying my common sense. . If Churchill can deny his father even after the man's pictures came out and no one needed DNA to verify that the man is his father but he still went ahead to parade himself as OBJ's son then later made a U-turn that Obj is actually his uncle which is also a lie because he is not related to Obj. . If he could deny he has another child apart from King Andre, even sworn on the life of the innocent boy that he hasn't got any child apart from King. Mind you he even said it in his interview with media hob that he has no other child apart from King only for me to confirm that he has an almost 8 year old daughter with Subomi then I am sorry I don't trust anything he says. Simple. How can you lie about your parent and you own child? Wow! If a man can lie about his own flesh and blood then sorry but every other lie is more than possible. So you all should shut up and let the lady be. . This might sound rude but I can't put it any other way than to tell you all to save the money on your data and use it to acquire some knowledge and common sense #cutiesopinion
