Alfa arrested for duping his followers of over N40m lailasnewsThe Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ondo State Command,has paraded an Islamic cleric (Alfa) identified as Oladele Ayuba, from Kwara State, for reportedly duping a follower of N4m.It was gathered that the Ayuba duped unsuspecting clients, who patronized him for prayers of various amounts ranging from N300,000 to N36,000,000. However the arrest of the Islamic cleric (Alfa) who obtain money from followers by false pretense, came after one of his victims, Tajudeen Ekundayo who lost N4,300,000 to the syndicate, laid a complaint.
The State Commandant of  NSCDC, Commandant Pedro Awili Ideba, who spoke to newsmen said  criminal activities ranging from kidnapping, ritual killings and fraud had been traced to Ayuba, adding that the traditional ruler of Arigidi Akoko, Oba Yisa Olanipekun, had written a letter to the state command on the alleged criminal activities of the suspect.
Recall also that a Senior Pastor of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry, Abule Egba branch, Pastor Emeka Iwuagwu was arrested few days ago over his alleged involvement in a financial fraud to the tune of N8.6m in Lagos.Iwuagwu reportedly defrauded his spiritual son and member of the church simply known as Precious, and used part of the money to start his own ministry.
The pastor was arrested following a petition to the Police at the Special fraud Unit, SFU by the victim over the alleged scam which has been described by the members of the church as wickedness.
The victim who was a businessman at the Computer Village in Ikeja sought for spiritual assistance from Iwuagwu for more progress in his thriving business, but he ended up being defrauded by the same person approached for spiritual help.
Trouble started when the victim went to Iwuagwu for counseling and prayers, during which Iwuagwu realized that Precious had such money and started scheming how to defraud him.
