Robbers storm school in Anambra to steal generator

Robbers storm school in Anambra to steal generator lailasnews A secondary school in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State, lost its generator to robbers who stormed the school during the weekend to commit the said crime.Facebook user, HRM Fort-Sierafino Sochima who shared the story, claimed the theft was discovered this morning after school reopened for the week. Here’s the post below;

“Armed Robbers have invaded Ide Secondary School, Enugwu-ukwu and made away with the school Generator which was supplied to the school by Anambra State Government.
We all came to school this morning only to find out that the school gate was broken and left open. We went inside only  to find out that  the generator  house was  burgled and the giant generator wasn’t no where to be found.
We suspected the act was done over the weekend. We saw  tire marks of vehicle they used, probably they used a crane it whatever we can’t fully understand…
Ide Secondary School is not secured, if a gigantic generator can be made away without anybody stopping them, I wonder what will happen to other equipments and electronics in the school, if they decides to come back. Nsogbu dikwa.….”

This is coming weeks after students of Santa Mary Nursery and Primary school 2, a school managed by St. Theresa’s parish, Catholic diocese of Awka, Anambra state, were given ‘goats’ by the school management for distinguishing themselves academically.
According to newsmen report, students that came top in their classes were given the unusual gift never received by students in the history of Nigeria education system.
Commenting on the goat gifts on social media, newsmen gathered that the need to celebrate the forthcoming Christmas by the students could be the rationale behind the gifts by the school.
One of the commentators on Facebook,  Nwedo said : “I love this school, they know that Christmas is near and many families cannot afford to buy meat due to recession and hardship in the country, but with this kind gesture, I suppose the parents will no longer bother themselves about the meat to buy. “This is one of the greatest gifts for this season, if you don’t want to kill it for the celebration of the xmas, you can sell it, use the money and buy whatever thing you want”.
In a chat with a youth in the community who pleaded anonymity, said;
“No doubt Nibo is an Agrarian community located behind Anambra state’s governor’s lodge with a reasonable population struggling to break even, but that does not mean that we cannot afford to give our kids items bigger than what we gave them. See, we are in a season likened to be full of enjoyment and happiness, a season we use to recall the birth of Jesus Christ, the savior of the world. So we gave them goat to either kill on Christmas day or sell it to buy anything”.
