One person has died and several others were injured in an accident in Onitsha, Anambra state, early this morning.
According to eyewitnesses, the accident occurred when a Mercedes v-boot
tried to avoid collision with a Hilux SUV, but this caused a tipper coming from behind to ram into the Mercedes, killing the young man in the Mercedes.
The accident, which took place at the Onitsha head bridge, led to heavy traffic on the bridge connecting Delta state to Anambra state. Federal Road Safety officials responded to the scene and were seen making efforts to remove the wrecked vehicles and help ease traffic.
