Man beaten for kicking against an old lawmaker in his ward in Akwa Ibom

A Nigerian man and Facebook user, Etiedu Ukpong, who reportedly kicked against the re-election of an old lawmaker in his ward in Akwa Ibom State, was reportedly attacked by thugs loyal to the lawmaker.Before the attack, he wrote;

RT HON.MFON IDUNG THREAT TO MY LIFE IN CONJUNCTÎÔN WITH Anamuduak Akada;
Mfon Idung had meeting yesterday in ward six Etim Ekpo and pay his fews boys to attack me any time they see me in my home town that I sent a text to Barr Emmanuel Enoidem not to support him cos he’s an old man. Immediately he left some of the boys call me and tip me and wonder why he did that. They also inform me that he went with AnamuduakAkada, according to them that Anamuduak Akada brought his phone and read a text claiming that Barr Emmanuel Enoidem sent to him to confirm that I ask him not to support Mfon Idung. Mfon Idung also vow to DEAL WITH MÈ. JUST FOR PUBLIC AWARENESs

A quick check on Etiedu Ukpong’s Facebook page, revealed that the assault of the officer at Akwa Ibom State Civil Service Commission, came after he wrote a Facebook post against a Federal House of Representative member, warning him against imposing candidates especially old people ahead of next year’s general election.

Sharing photos of his assault by thugs reportedly sent by the old lawmaker, Etiedu wrote;

Thank you Rt hon. Barr Emmanuel Enoidem, PDP national legal adviser. Thank you Rt Hon Mfon Idung awaiting swearing in member Etim Ekpo/ Ika come 2019. No one is above the law. Prize paid for freedom from oppression.

A former two-term Chairman of Etim Ekpo Local Government Area, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Mfon Idung is reportedly contesting for Etim Ekpo/Ika State House of Assembly seat in the 2019 elections in the State.
