Sharing the photos on his page Dfashola said he never knew there was a leakage so when he tried to light the cooker, boom it just exploded leaving him in a Second degree burn.
He spent months in a Lagos hospital but was not showing any sign of improvement, until he was transferred to the United Kingdom.

According to him, it took just 3 weeks for the treatment to manifest over there in England. The man then used the opportunity to compare the health care services in both countries and he hopes that the government will improve on what is made available to Nigerians.
He said:
As much as i want to agree with hope. Unfortunately I was in national hospital burns unit for 5month, and igbobi burns center Lagos for 6 months but I wasn’t healing. Still had to leave. Had 4 skin graft operations, 2 in each. And infections kept peeling the new skin. Sad.
Seeing the way he healed, a user mentioned that he knew there was no way he could have had his treatment in Nigeria:
I knew there was no way a Nigerian Hospital got him to where he is right now. The only hope for Nig. Hospitals is a complete change in power, scrutiny and better pay for for health professionals.
The man then responded saying:
They tried their best. Both Abuja and Lagos, but I guess we aren’t there yet. Let me blow your mind. I get to England and was gonna be discharged in 3weeks after almost one year in hospital in Nigeria. I was so scared to go home.
He was joined by his friends on the platform to rejoice with him and everyone shared their experiences with gas explosions in the country.
