The Founder of GBENGA POWER FOUNDATION, Mr. Gbenga Power is empowering thousands of people across Kwara State. GBENGA POWER FOUNDATION was established by a kind spirited indigene of Kwara State, several years ago. The Founder and Chairman of the foundation, Mr. Gbenga Power, started it to complement effort of the Government, realizing that government alone cannot meet all the needs and yearnings of the teeming populace.
The Foundation focuses on human and sports development of youths and the less privileged. This charity organization has assisted thousands of people for years in the KWARA CENTRAL ZONE, it now moved to KWARA SOUTH COMMUNITIES this year.
On Saturday, 26th May, 2018, it embarked on a humanitarian tour to parts of Oyun and Offa local government areas. At the palace of Elerin of Erin-Ile, His Royal Highness, Oba AbdulGaniyu Olusookun, was delighted in the good gesture embarked upon by Mr. Gbenga Power. He commended and showered him with royal blessing, wishing that more of his kind could emulate Mr. Gbenga Power to reach the less privileged masses out of their wealth. Mr. Gbenga Power later distributed foodstuff to some people of Ijagbo and Ipee. The Onijagbo was amazed at the visit and gifts to his people and blessed the Founder – Mr. Gbenga Power.
The Olofa of Offa, Oba Muftau Gbadamosi Esuwoye, was so excited to know what this young man was doing. He expressed real enthusiasm on the sport development project for the youths, saying it will afford them opportunity to discover their talents, develop their skills and possibly earn them a means of livelihood, when they become sponsored professionals. The monarch later thanked the founder, Mr. Gbenga Power, gave him a royal blessing and promised his personal support at any time.
Gbenga Power later met with a large crowd in an open place where large bulk of food items were distributed to the people of Offa, drawn from all wards, who hailed and chanted songs of praises, appreciation and encouragement for Mr. Gbenga Power.
The day’s visit ended at Oro-Ago community. The high chiefs and lots of people from different villages in Oro-Ago land welcomed Mr. Gbenga Power and his team with fanfare. After distribution of food stuff, Chief Comrade Sola Dosunmu, appreciated the gesture of Mr. Gbenga Power, on behalf of the Oloro of Oro-ago and prayed for more blessings and greater heights for him.
Other parts of Ifelodun local Government were visited on the 9th and 10th of June, 2018. Communities visited include: Share, Babaloma, Babanla, Shagbe, Oke-Ode, Ora, Yaru, Igbaja, Omupo and Idofian.
The various Obas that personally welcomed him were: Olupako of Share, Oba Abubakar Garuba; HRH Loma of Babaloma, Oba Usman Ayilara; Oba of Babanla, Oba Aliu AlabiArojojoye; Elesa of Oke-Ode, Oba AbdulKari Adelodun; Oniyaru of Yaru, Oba Anidu Afolabi; Oludofian of Idofian, Oba Suberu Agboola Oyesoro, while Olomu of Omupo, Oba Yakubu Buhari, was represented by all high chiefs.
They all welcomed him home and promised to continue to pray for and support him. They all showered encomiums on him praying that other well to do individuals will follow the good gesture to help alleviate the hardship of the less privileged masses, especially during this hard time.
In all the communities, thousands of people trooped out to embrace Mr. Gbenga Power with fanfare, singing and dancing in appreciation of what Mr. Gbenga Power is doing through GBENGA POWER FOUNDATION, across Kwara State and Nigeria, as a whole.
Everywhere he went, Mr. Gbenga Power was full of joy to extend his hands of love to his people. He cheerfully distributed some food stuff including rice, salt, sugar, and several drinks, worth millions of Naira, especially to the Muslim faithful in this Ramadan Period.
In an interview, the Founder and Chairman of the foundation, Mr. Gbenga Power, reiterated that the essence of the project is to complement the Kwara State Government, in the social welfare of the good people of Kwara State, to help develop the interest and talent of young ones, direct the energy of our youth to sport and games, discover grassroots talents, encourage and sponsor talented youth to international level and alleviate the suffering of the teeming poor masses.
During the interview, Mr. Gbenga Power promised to extend the next phase of this empowerment to KWARA NORTH and other parts of KWARA SOUTH.
