Suicide: ''We are yet to receive any report of a missing person. No corpse has been found yet in Lagoon'' Lagos police spokesperson tells

Suicide: The Lagos state police command says it is yet to receive any report of a missing person four days after someone allegedly jumped into the Lagos lagoon under the third mainland bridge.

On Sunday June 10th, reports were rife on social media that a lady committed suicide by jumping into the Lagoon.


The spokesperson of the state police command, SP Chike Oti, in an interview with LIB this afternoon, said four days after the reported suicide incident, no one has come to the command to say his or her relative was the one that jumped into the river. Oti says the search patrol team is yet to recover the body of any person in the Lagoon.
''No one has come to our office to report that any member of their family is missing or jumped into the lagoon. It is almost four days now and the search patrol in  the Lagoon is yet to discover any corpse''Oti said
The police spokesperson called on residents of the state with useful information to come forward with it to help unravel the mystery surrounding the reported suicide incident. He also asked that the man in the SUV on the viral video who reportedly came down from his car to talk the lady who committed suicide, to please come forward and talk to the police so that they can carry out proper investigation.
