'In her voice, we could feel our history - Barrack Obama mourns late queen of soul, Aretha Franklin

Former US President Barack Obama has taken to his Twitter page to mourn legendary singer Aretha Franklin, who died today, August 16, at age 76.
Sharing series photos with the late singer, he wrote: 'Aretha helped define the American
experience. In her voice, we could feel our history, all of it and in every shade—our power and our pain, our darkness and our light, our quest for redemption and our hard-won respect. May the Queen of Soul rest in eternal peace.'
