A Nigerian man stabbed a 62-year-old wheelchair-bound woman 116 times, leaving her partially disembowelled.
Kehinde Afolayan, 31, allegedly murdered Deborah Lynch, 62, at her home in South
Milwaukee last Friday.
He was arrested and charged on Tuesday with first-degree intentional homicide and use of a dangerous weapon, in connection with the Friday attack. If convicted of the felony charge, he faces up to life in prison.

A witness told police how he peered through a window of the apartment on Clarke Avenue, South Milwaukee, after being alerted by his sister to a commotion inside. Peering through the window, he saw Afolayan stab Deborah Lynch as she sat in her wheelchair. The witness identified Afolayan as “someone whom, in the past month, he had seen getting the victim’s mail from her mailbox.”

Yvonne Lytge also told FOX6 she witnessed Lynch struggling in the apartment the night of the attack.
Lytge said:

I started pounding on the door and she said 'back door.' I was focused on him, but I did see a cut on her shoulder. I've never seen him coming. I've never seen him leaving. I have never seen him before. She wouldn't harm anybody, and she was so soft-spoken.

Lynch's son, who also lived in the apartment, told officers that Afolayan had been living with them since October. The son was not home during the attack.
Police responded to a 911 call on Friday and arrived to find Lynch with multiple stab wounds. She appeared to be “partially disemboweled” in her wheelchair, covered in blood. Afolayan came down the stairs holding a blood-covered white undershirt, police said.

A Flight for Life helicopter was called but Lynch passed away before being loaded onto the aircraft.

Officers arrested Afolayan at the apartment. Investigators said they found three bloody knives in and near the building, one of which was missing the blade.
Afolayan's Federal Republic of Nigeria identification card was found in the living room, a search warrant said.
Police said they were unable to interview Afolayan because he was not communicative and wouldn't even give his name. All he kept muttering was, "Jesus forgives me."
A medical examiner said Lynch received 116 stabs wounds, most of which were to the chest and abdomen.
Police did not provide a motive for the fatal stabbing.
