Why Anglican Bursar Was Shot Dead In Ondo

Unknown gunmen early hours of Thursday killed bursar of the Akure diocese of Anglican Communion, Gbariel Kola Abiodun, shortly after leaving a new generation bank.
He was said to have been killed at the diocesan office at Alagbaka, Ondo state shortly after returning from the bank where he went to withdraw some cash meant for the church.
It was gathered that the deceased was shot this morning shortly after returning from bank with N500,000 meant for the church. Some men suspected to be armed robbers who have been hinted about Gbariel’s transaction transaction killed him.
Untill his death, he was the bursar of the Akure Diocese of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Gabriel Kola Abiodun.

His remains has been evacuated and taken to the mortuary by some policemen. Security has already been beefed up in the area, as sympathisers thronged the Diocesan Secretariat, Alagbaka, Akure.
The Public Relations Officer of Ondo State Police Command, Femi Joseph confirmed the incident, saying the police has swung into action to apprehend the killers.
