Osun State governorship candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has been granted two million naira bail.
The magistrate has also permitted him to travel to the United States later today, Tuesday.
The embattled PDP governorship candidate in Osun State was arraigned on Tuesday before a Magistrate Court in Mpape Abuja on charges bordering on forgery.
The current member of the senate is facing five fresh counts of forging a letter of attestation and result from Muslim Grammar School.
According to police reports, Adeleke was alleged to have submitted a forged document to the Independent National Electoral Commission as PDP’s candidate prior to the Osun State governorship election.
Adeleke, during the hearing, pleaded not guilty when the charges were read before Muhammed Suberu, the Magistrate who granted him bail.
The Magistrate, in his ruling, said the surety must reside within the jurisdiction of the court.
Before now the police were prosecuting him on amended seven counts of examination malpractices before the Federal High Court in Abuja
