A lady identified as Rifkatu Anthony has been arrested while attempting to smuggle 39 wraps of Indian Hemp into prison in Kano State.She was arrested by the Intelligence Unit of the Nigerian Prisons Service (NPS) attached to the Kano Central Prison.
The Indian hemp was concealed in harmless packs with the suspect intending to deliver them to inmates in the prison.
When interrogated, Miss Anthony feigned ignorance of the Illicit substance in her possession. According to her, the items were given to her by one ThankGod for delivery to the prison inmates.

This news is coming on the hills of the news about Zainab Aliyu who was released from detention in Saudi Arabia after drugs we’re found on her.
She was released on grounds that she may have been victim of an airport cartel which specializes in placing drugs in luggages of unsuspecting travellers.
This was after President Buhari intervened in her case by ordering all agencies to see to her release.
Four suspects were arrested at the Aminu Kano International Airport and are currently being I investigated for their role in the cartel.
She has since returned to Nigeria and reunited with her family.
