Oyo Lawmaker Offers Scholarship To Late Sugar’s Children

Two of the children of late Olatoye Temitope Sugar are going to enjoy scholarship till university level.

OYO INSIGHT recalled that Sugar, as Olatoye who was representing Akinyele/Lagelu federal constituency was known, was murdered in Lalupon on March 10th, 2019 while returning from his Alape village where he had come to exercise his franchise. This was two weeks after he lost his bid to represent Oyo Central senatorial district on the platform of the Action Democratic Party, ADP.

Second term lawmaker, Hon. Olusegun Olaleye made the pledge when the remains of the deceased, who was his colleague lawmaker between 2011 and 2015, were brought to the Oyo State House of Assemby complex.

Popularly called Radical, he advised the family not to think about vengeance but how how to take care of the deceased wives and children he left behind.

Speaking further, he revealed how “Sugar told me in my dream that no one should take revenge on his behalf, but his wife and children should be well taken care of.”
