Success should not be attributed to God’s grace only – Poju Oyemade

Success should not be attributed to God's grace only - Poju Oyemade lailasnews 2Pastor Poju Oyemade, the Senior Pastor of the Covenant Christian Center has addressed the issues of attributing one’s success to God’s grace.
In a post he made on social media, the pastor stated that it will not be right for an individual who has been successful at his career to mention they did nothing to achieve success and that it was all because they had God’s grace bestowed upon them.He wrote:

Someone was asked why he had longevity in his industry while many other talented contemporaries had faded away. His reply was “it is by God’s grace and not because of anything I did right in myself.” This is how a religious mindset denies us the opportunity to learn.

Truth is, his longevity is really because of certain wise choices he made. What he should have said was “Yes, I remain relevant because I made the right moves some of which I will share however it was God’s grace that taught me these things without which I won’t have known them”

While enlightening his followers further, he wrote that when an individual attributes their every success to God’s grace, it is more like saying  they were lucky in their career and other people were not.
