Nigeria Air: EFCC arrests Sirika over alleged N8bn fraud

 

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has picked up ex-Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, over an ongoing N8,069,176,864.00 money laundering probe.

According to Punch, Sirika arrived at the Federal Capital Territory Command of the EFCC at about 1pm on Tuesday.

There was palpable tension as some armed men suspected to be Yoruba Nation Agitators stormed the Oyo Government Secretariat in Ibadan.

The armed men on Saturday morning were stationed at strategic points in the Secretariat and attempted to enter the Governor’s Office and the state House of Assembly complex.

An eyewitness account said the men dressed in military camouflage covered their faces with masks and scarfs.
