Tragic! See the woman who dies after falling off a waterfall while taking a picture of her friend...photos

A woman from Oregon has been killed after losing her footing at the top of a waterfall.

Sydney Craft, 23, was standing on some rocks taking photos of a male friend jumping into the river when she lost her balance, slipped and fell down a cliff to the river's edge.

Sydney, from Roseburg near Eugene, fell some 90 feet to the bank of the North Umpqua River while taking a photograph on Sunday.

When the 911 call came in at 12:15 p.m., she was badly injured, and her friend attempted CPR for some time, but by the time emergency workers arrived on the scene, she had died.

'These things are very unfortunate,' Douglas County sheriff's Capt. Dwes Hutson said. 'This was a tragic accident.'

Sydney owned the popular Canoa Sport company that rented out scooters and kayaks to budding adventurers in Rosenburg, Oregon.
