PDP clears Stella Oduah, Ifeanyi Ubah, three others for Anambra governorship primary

The Peoples Democratic Party in Abuja has screened and cleared former Aviation Minister Stella Oduah, billionaire businessman Ifeanyi Ubah, lawmaker Lynda Ikpeazu, John Emeka and Dr. Alex Obiogolu, to participate in the August 19th 2017 governorship primary election in Anambra State.
At the end of the primary, whoever wins would be the PDP flagbearer in the Anambra state governorship election which is slated for November 18th.
One of the aspirants, Akolisa Ufodike, was screened out of the race for the party's ticket, on the grounds that he had dual citizenship. The Constitution specifies that anyone to run for governor in Nigeria must possess only Nigerian citizenship.
