I Am Silent As The Tragefy Unfolds And The Blood Flows

Because of the weight of the wickedness of a people thundering over shadows but ignoring substance. Millions of Nnamdi Kanu’s type are churned out daily like factory products. But otherwise educated but apparently reckless folks say slay the product and ignore the factory.

Because I am ashamed of my country for its easy recourse to brutality and of the many who grow balls over the sneeze not the cold. I am sick of the many who have eyes but are blind, have ears but are deaf. I see many who call family meetings over their own abusive and recalcitrant children but gleefully list abuse and recalcitrance of the children of others as reason to mow them down with bullets.

For after Nnamdi Kanu is silenced, who next? In the graveyard silence, we will return to our shameless comfort zone applauding the great victory of our conquering army and assured of life unruffled. We will ignore the factory churning out millions of sub human products savaged by poverty, ravaged by disease, crushed by despair and oppressed by the ruthless. For how long will truth and fairness be sacrificed on the alter of life unruffled for the few, how long shall we force the lid on the pressure cooker, how long will we worry about the style of the protest not the reason for the revolt.
