The monarch was installed by President Muhammadu Buhari, represented by Prof A. I. Essien during the 4th Matriculation ceremony of the institution at Ikwo local government area of Ebonyi State.
Speaking after his conferment, the monarch who thanked President Buhari for finding him worthy of such appointment charged the students to shun cultism and other vices.
“I urge you to shun social vices and be law-abiding and serious minded in your studies, because those who do not read are to be pitied than those who cannot read.
“Who you are today and where you will be in the next 25 years is directly proportional to your reading habits, the relationship you cultivate with others and your closeness to God”.
The monarch commended President Buhari for his passionate efforts to rid the country of insecurity, corruption and unemployment.
“I urge all Nigerians to give Buhari’s government full support in its drive to return the country to the path of progress,” he added.
“We hope to liase with the concerned levels of government and stakeholders to ensure that the needful is done”, he promised.
