I Wasn’t Gang-Raped, I Agreed To Sleep With Three Boys -16-Year-Old Girl Shocks Parent, Police

Girl, 16, who was assumed to have been gang-raped by three boys, shocked both the police and her parents when she confessed that the unholy incident occurred with her consent.
According to a Ghana Newspaper, Daily Heritage, she also denied the parents’ allegation of being gang raped by the students.

Three second cycle students of the Institute of Professional Studies at Akyem Kukurantumi in the Eastern Region were arrested by the Kukurantumi Police for allegedly gang-raping the 16- year-old Junior High School student.
The parents of the victim reported to the police that the three suspects had gang-raped the victim after holding her hostage for days.
Police investigations led to the arrest of the suspects who were trapped by the victim to spend the night with her again.
The suspects were kept in police custody for further investigations for prosecution to begin; however, during interrogation by the Criminal Investigations Department in the presence of the family of the victims, the victim explained that, one of the suspects was her boyfriend so after evening studies, she decided to pass the night in his room which he shares with his friends.
The girl admitted consciously having sexual intercourse twice with the boyfriend and once with his boyfriend’s friend in the absence of the boyfriend since she fell in love with him (friend to her boyfriend),
According to the police, she said she was not forced, hence, rendering the “ingredient of rape negligible to substantiate because it clearly appears to be a sexual intercourse which was consented to by the parties involved, therefore, it would be unreasonable to continuously detain the suspects.”
The police, thus, granted the suspects police enquiry bail with surety, while the docket is being prepared to the Attorney General’s office for advice.
