Shockwaves are reverberating across Yorùbáland and the global Yorùbá diaspora following the sudden death of the Baba Ọba (King’s Father) of the famed Oyotunji African Village in South Carolina, USA. The late Baba Ọba, Lukman Arohunfale, a revered socialite and traditionalist, passed away under circumstances already sparking fierce controversy. His death comes just days after he publicly accused the newly installed Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty Oba Akeem Adéyẹmọ Owoade, of allegedly ordering his courtiers to beat him mercilessly during a recent courtesy visit to the Oyo palace in Nigeria. In a widely circulated voice recording, the deceased recounted how what was meant to be a simple homage turned violent. The controversial mum, who shot to fame when she announced she was planning to have an abortion to go on Big Brother, has made shocking new claims
Josie Cunningham has made sensational claims she was abused by Jimmy Savile when she was just 14-years-old.
The 24-year-old mum, previously dubbed 'the most hated woman in Britain', claims the former BBC presenter - who died in 2011 - tried to touch her boobs and 'kiss her on the lips'.
Josie, who shot to fame after announcing she was planning an abortion to go on Big Brother, even claimed the star pressed his private parts in to her when they met while she was walking home from school.
Josie has never gone to police with the claims, and they have not been verified.
Speaking out for the first time this week, she claims the 'six-month alleged ordeal' is what sparked her downward spiral in the public eye, and her insecurities over her body image.
Josie claimed to The Sun: “The reason I’ve decided to speak about this now is because I understand that my interest in fame and the insecurities I have with my body have all stemmed from the time I met Jimmy.”
The mum-of-three grew up in Leeds, close to where Jimmy lived beside Roundhay Park, and she explained that while she knew of his celebrity status, he was "just the guy in a tracksuit and a cigar that was famous."
The pair were even pictured together when Josie was a teen, with the presenter holding her close with his arms around her.
She claims she first came face to face with the star when she was walking home from school in December 2003, admitting she went on to make more of an effort to see him again - eventually seeing him for a second time in the New Year near his home.
