Body of woman discovered on rocks at well-known Dublin bay


The body of a woman has been discovered on rocks at a Dublin bay.
The woman - who is believed to be between 50 to 60 years of age - was discovered at Scotsmans Bay in Sandycove yesterday morning.

She is described as being of between  5’4'' to 5’6'' in height, with red hair.
The woman was wearing a purple coat, light blue fleece, a red shirt, dark purple jeans, navy socks and brown size 40 boots. 
Her fingernails where painted purple.
Post mortem results reveal that the woman had drowned.
Gardaí do not believe the body was in the water for a long period of time.
Gardai have appealed for anyone who may know the identity of the woman or who may have any relevant information to contact Dun Laoghaire Garda Station 01 666 5000.
