On May 28, 2016, the spokesperson to immediate-past Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan, Reuben Adeleye Abati tied the marital knots with his wife Lara in Ibadan for the second time.
We gathered, it was a traditional wedding that attracted very important personalities from the immediate past administration.
We hear they met in 2009 and since then it has been a rosy love story for them. Lara was the one who planned Reuben Abati’s mother’s burial in 2014.
Last year, the mother of two boys had a surprise 50th birthday party for her hubby at Jevnik Events Place on Issac John Street, GRA, Ikeja Lagos.
The traditional wedding which had close friends and family members of both the bride and groom in attendance was held at the NUT Centre, Orogun, Ibadan.
It was a classy and well planned event.
The bride, Lara whose father is late is from Ibadan while her mum is from Osun State. Her grandfather, Rev. Pa Daniel Oluniyi stood in as her dad at the event and her mum, Alhaja Oluwatoyin Odegbile was fully on ground.
Faaji by Bankole handled the decor at the wedding, while Os Celebrations owned by Kafilat Oshobemekun planned the event from the scratch and also coordinated it. Talented singer, Seun Aransiola was on the bandstand.
