Onoriode Okeribo popularly known as Onos described as the ringleader of a daredevil criminal gang in Delta state, was lynched by an angry mob after he was caught by members of a vigilante group in Edo state over the weekend. He was taken to Oghara community in Ethiope West LGA of Delta State where he was lynched by the mob.
Residents of the community say Onos and his group have terrorized them for years. He is said to be behind the armed robbery, murder for hire, and kidnappings in the area for many years.
Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Celestina Kalu in an interview with Sahara Reporters, confirmed that Onos was arrested in Edo State and has reportedly died by mob lynching. She said the police is now in search of other members of his gang.
