The 18-year-old from Liuzhou, China's Guangxi province had his penis stuck in the ring for two days before the pain became so unbearable that he called emergency services for help on September 13.
He was taken to hospital where it took some 90 minutes for the man to be freed.
According to news site Sohu, the man had the ring stuck on his p3nis for two days and as it became increasingly painful, he called firefighters for help.
They could not remove the ring at his home because his p3nis had become too swollen.
The video was posted to social media site Weibo where people have been commenting.
One user wrote: 'I want to know why the ring was there.'
While another commented: 'This man has really nothing to do? It's laughable.'
And one user said: 'I wonder why he wanted to put a ring there.'
It's unclear what made him want to put the ring on his penis.
