The EFCC, yesterday secured the conviction of one Mrs. Chika Amsy Charles, who was convicted by Justice D.V Agishir of the Federal High Court sitting in Enugu, and sentenced to three years imprisonment on each of the thirty count charge preferred against her by the Commission.
The sentence which was to run concurrently from the date of her conviction, was without an option of a fine.
She was found guilty of swindling young Nigerians under the guise of helping them to secure admission into the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUTH).
She was said to have perpetrated the crime through her unregistered non-governmental organisation (NGO) known as Bold and Dynamic Gender Initiative. Luck ran out on her when one of her victims petitioned the EFCC.
