Meet the World's tallest teenager who is 7ft 8ins and still growing...photo

The world's tallest teenager has reached a record-breaking height of 7ft 8ins and he is still growing.

Broc Brown, who was officially the world's tallest teenager before becoming too old for the 18-and-below classification, is growing at the rate of six inches a year.

If he maintains that rate, the 19-year-old from Michigan could easily surpass the current world's tallest man, Sultan Kosen, who stands at 8ft 2ins.

His mother, Darci said: "I'd say Broc was around 5ft 2ins when he was in kindergarten. When he got into middle school he was around 6ft tall and by high school he was 7ft tall - he could easily grow six inches in a year. It's a genetic disorder and there's nothing that can stop him from growing - I don't know if he will ever stop."

He was diagnosed with Sotos Syndrome, known as cerebral gigantism, when he was just five-years-old and his mother was told that he would not outlive his teenage years.

The condition effects one in every 15,000 people but doctors are now confident that Broc will have a normal life span despite his health problems .

Along with his gigantism Broc also suffers from learning difficulties, strain on his heart, curvature of the spine and narrowing of the spinal cord.

He was also born with one kidney so is unable to take painkillers despite suffering constantly with his back.

Photo of boat carrying 600 Migrants capsizes and 29 people dies...

A boat carrying around 600 people has capsized off Egypt's coast, killing at least 29, officials said today, in the latest disaster to befall migrants attempting to cross to Europe.

The boat sank in the Mediterranean Sea off Burg Rashid, a village in the northern Beheira province.

Of the 29 bodies found so far, 18 were men, 10 were women and one was a child, local officials said.

"Initial information indicates that the boat sank because it was carrying more people than its limit.
The boat tilted and the migrants fell into the water," a senior security official in Beheira told Reuters.

Rescue workers have so far saved 150 people. The boat was carrying Egyptian, Syrian, and African migrants, officials said.

It was not immediately clear where the boat was headed, though officials said they believed it was going to Italy.

Photo of two robbers nabbed by RRS along Cele Bus-stop...

The operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested a two man robbery gang specializing in defrauding unsuspecting members of public around Cele Bus-stop, along Oshodi-Apapa Expressway of Lagos.

The suspects, Emmanuel Anyanwu, 39, an ex-convict and Kennedy Ujagbor, 42, a drug addict, were jointly arrested by the RRS officers at Cele Bus-stop, when a victim from whom they had snatched his bag from the previous day when he failed to fall into their trap, identified them at a drinking joint.

Their victim, Sammy Bolaji, was on his way to Ogun State when he was stopped by the duo of Anyanwu and Ujagbor for his assistance.
"They asked me if I knew a particular address and I told them that I was a stranger in that area…. As I made to leave them, one of them grabbed my bag from behind and took to his heels. The second one followed suit. I ran after them but I guess they knew the route more than I do, so they escaped before people around could even come to term with what was going on…. Sadly for me, in that bag were a sum of N7,500:00, two mobile phones, cloths and other personal effects. I had to discontinue the journey because all I had on me were gone,"
The following day, my mum chose to drive me through this same spot where my bag was snatched. Luckily for me, I saw these same guys sipping alcohol early in the morning very close to the spot. I alighted not telling my mom what I had seen, at least to confirm first…. As things would work my way, I saw RRS’s patrol vehicle passing by and I waved them down, narrated all that happened yesterday and they followed me to where these guy were sitting.
They were shocked to see me with the police. They interrogated them and arrested them after confirming the incident…. They promised the officers that they would retrieve my bag for me in Ketu, where they sold it to,” he stated.
Emmanuel Anyanwu, in his confession said,
"We are swindlers. We are always on the street looking for people to defraud…. Yesterday, we met this guy. Our plan was to play him and it didn’t seem to work out, so we snatched his bag and ran away. His bag is in Ketu."

The suspects revealed their Modus Operandi,
"Normally, what we do is tell our victim that we are foreigners with a huge consignment of mobile phones and stationery…. We would now pretend that we were in search of marketers with enough money to buy the goods…. In the process, we persuade our victims to show interest in buying the goods by dangling before them an irresistible offer. If they show interest, we tell them to demonstrate their seriousness with a commitment by depositing their phones, money or jewelry. That is how we con them."
Confirming the development, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Superintendent of Police, SP Dolapo Badmus stated that the police would leave no stone unturned towards reducing crime in the state. The suspects have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.

This young mom throws a pot of boiling water at boyfriend and 2 month old baby because he cheated on her..photo

Police in Florida say a scorned girlfriend threw a pot of boiling water on her boyfriend as he lay on a bed with the couple's 2-month-old son.

Yva Monord, 22, has been charged with aggravated domestic battery and aggravated child abuse in Saturday's incident, which left her boyfriend and baby with severe injuries.

According to an arrest report, the infant suffered second- and third-degree burns to his chest and arm.The burns make up about 5 per cent of his body.

Police say on Saturday, Monord boiled a pot of water to sanitize her son's pacifiers and bottles, but she then carried the piping-hot liquid into the bedroom, where her boyfriend was sleeping, and intentionally knocked it onto the bed.

At first, according to the arrest report cited by the station News4Jax, the 23-year-old man thought he was the one who accidentally knocked the pot off a side table in his sleep.

After initially denying that her actions were intentional, Monord eventually admitted that she was upset with her boyfriend for cheating on her.

She also told police she did not know their son was sleeping next to Perppignan because the man was covered with a blanket.

Wickedness! ISIS auctions sex slave to Saudi Arabian buyers...photo

A picture has been released by the Sun UK showing an ISIS sex slave allegedly being auctioned by the terror group to bidders in Saudi Arabia.

The horrifying discovery was revealed when a jihadi was killed while fighting at the town of Al-Shirqat, an ISIS stronghold taken over by the group two years ago.
Members of the Iraqi Popular Mobilisation Units, a state-sponsored militia that helps fight ISIS recovered the Jihadist's mobile phone and found a picture of a sex slave market taken in Saudi Arabia. It comes as a surprise to the Western world, given that Saudi Arabia  is part of the international coalition fighting ISIS alongside the UK and US even though it's believed in some quarters that wealthy Saudis have sponsored the terror group for years.
A spokesman for the PMU told Sun Online:
“Our investigation officer was appalled at the set of images involving what we believe to be an Iraqi Yazidi (an ethnic minority in the region) woman taken as sex slave. Images were of the auction in Saudi Arabia of the woman and sexually explicit materials of the fighter and the woman in a hotel. Location data was observed on the image file as enabled by default on many smart phones.
"Further images involved ISIS members in Iraqi areas occupied by ISIS including Mosul and Baiji which indicates this fighter has been with ISIS for a long period of time as Baiji was liberated by us months ago."
We are engaging with our Yazidi members to find the family of the woman, location and health status," the spokesman added. We hope to liberate her and all Iraqi women taken as sexual slaves by ISIS within Iraq or outside of Iraq as their basic human rights are being denied. We cannot allow this, as the force dedicated to the defence of Iraqi citizens."

The Police in Katsina State said it had arrested a 60-year-old housekeeper of Hajiya Turai Yar’adua, the wife of the late President Umaru Yar’Adua over missing goods worth N91m.

The State Commissioner of Police, Usman Abdullahi, said this while briefing newsmen on Tuesday in Katsina.

“The Police have arrested Alhaji Yusuf Sarkin-gida after a formal complaint by Hajiya Turai Yar’Adua to the police two weeks ago. The suspect is the custodian of all the keys and property of Hajiya Turai Yar’Adua for the past 40 years.

“There are 37 boxes in the custody of the suspect, but only 27 boxes are in the store.

“The several items in the 27 boxes are completely missing and the suspect has failed to give full explanation on the goods and items in the boxes,” he said.

NAN reports that the CP said the suspect had been serving the late Yar’Adua family for the past 40 years even before her husband became the governor and later the President of Nigeria.

Abdullahi said the suspect was in police custody where he was assisting them to conduct intensive investigation on the missing items.

When contacted, the spokesperson for the Sarkin-gida’s family, Alhaji Mohammed Yusuf, said their father was innocent of the charge levelled against him.

He said the arrest and detention of their father before the Eld-el-Kabir celebration had thrown the family into confusion.

He appealed to human rights organisations to come to the rescue of their father.

Agony of a woman who cries out after ex-Husband beats her up, fractures her leg & left her bed-ridden...photo

This is the story of Ivie Edobor, a mother of three kids who was assaulted by her ex-husband John Edobor, a Zenith Bank employee. Below are the words of the estranged wife:

Dear friends,
To shed more light on my ordeal, this is my story... Two years ago my husband kick me out of his house along with my 3 daughters ages 9, 7 and 4. I was forced to move back to my father’s house and struggled to provide for my 3 children as he completely neglected them and even took them off his medical insurance provided by his office, Zenith Bank Plc.
After much struggle, I finally got back on my feet. Got a great job, enrolled my kids in a new school and rented an apartment for my 3 kids and I.
About Easter time this year he decided he wants to be part of my children’s life again. I allowed him access to the children as I felt we could be civil to each other for the sake of our children. At this time, I had started putting my documentation together for the divorce process.
Early hours of June 19th, on my way back from a function, a friend had parked right in front of the gate of my apartment to press the bell for the gateman to open the gate and let me into the compound when suddenly he was rushed at and attacked by a man waving an object.
The first impression was that it was an armed robber trying to rob us. My friend, (a man) pushed him away but he came charging back. At this point, I looked out the opened door and realized it was John Edobor my enstrange husband. Before we could react a group of area boys showed up but rather than saving us from the assailant, they joined him. They proceeded to beat my (man)friend on the floor giving John the opportunity to focus his attack on me.
He used a metal bar (wheel spanner/metal rod) to try hitting me on the head through the opened drivers door but I shielded it. Not satisfied with that, he turned to the passengers door dragged out to the floor. I landed on the floor with my legs extended where he proceeded to hit me on the leg continuously with the metal.
When he was satisfied he was about going back to join the area boys who had gathered my friend when my neighbour who had heard my screams for help and seen from his window a man striking someone on the floor thinking it was an armed robber, numbed down his balcony with a machete to save whoever was being attacked. On getting down he was faced with my enstrange husband whom he had prevented from entering my compound without my permission on 2 occasions so he recognised him. It was at that point he overpowered John. The area boys recognised him as a member of the security team for the street and backed off my friend.
By that time I couldn’t stand up and my leg was bleeding profusely. I was rushed to the hospital where my jeans was torn off my leg to see the nature of my injury. The injury was so severe that my broken bone torn through my skin puncturing an artery in the process.
Almost 3 months and 2 surgeries later, I have titanium plates and screws to keep my leg in place and I am unable to use my right leg. I still have my 3 children to care for and my life is at a stand still. The perpetuator (my estranged husband) was charged to court and released on bail 3 days later. Now he moves around freely carrying on with his life.
Now is it wrong for me to cry for Justice?

Photo of an under aged girl who was raped and impregnated an Alhaji in Sokoto state...

A Nigerian journalist with DW Radio Service, Germany, Faruk Muhammad Yabo shared the sad story on Facebook:
"The story of this under-aged Maimuna an orphan of Birnin ruwa village in sokoto who was raped, impregnated and abandoned by one Alhaji Giwa of the same village as accused, is very touchy.
Maimuna who is 8 month pregnant, has nobody to cater for her pregnancy in this very young age. She is now helpless her father died since, and the person accused of impregnating her denied before the upper sheri'a court in sokoto, but Maimuna insisted that Alhaji Giwa as accused, was the only one who impregnated her.
The two witnesses from the same village have attested before the court that Alhaji Giwa even told them that he will take Maimuna to a specialist for abortion, but later changed his mind.
A child of a very poor family, Maimuna is in dare need of assistance from human right agencies because Alhaji the person accused of impregnating her already hired a lawyer for the case"
