One thing most women want in a relationship is maturity from their partners. In heterosexual relationships, this means that a woman in most cases expects her man to have a certain degree of maturity.
Things a MATURE man will never do
Maturity is clearly not a function of age, but of emotional intelligence, so if you are looking to go into a relationship, here are some pointers to help you discern that your man is mature.
1. He will not criticize your looks
While looks should not be the most important criteria in a relationship, some men make it a habit to criticize their partners weight, color and even make-up.
A mature man will never criticize your looks, instead he will compliment and make you feel great about yourself.
2. He will not disrespect you
Disrespecting one's partner in public or private is something immature people do. It is quite wrong and makes for an unhealthy relationship.
A mature man will not disrespect you anywhere, but will show you proper respect even when disagreements come up.
3. He will not intrude in your personal space
With an immature person, his insecurity and sometimes irrational jealousy will mean that you have no privacy. He will instead pore over your phone, messages and social media.
A mature man will never violate your personal space in that way. He will instead realize that there is no need for that if there is trust.
4. He will not think of only today
Some men can easily spend their last penny having dinner at an expensive restaurant without thinking of the consequences. Or they can throw a big party in the middle of the week and take a day off from work the day after.
A mature man will know that while there is a time for throwing caution to the wind, there is also a time to plan future and that is always on his mind.
5. He will never hit you
Do not be deceived. Violence is not acceptable in a relationship. A mature man will never hit you.
6. He does not disrespect family
While there might be differences within family, yet, a mature man will state his differences politely and respectfully.
7. He will never go against his principles
A mature man has good principles which he always sticks to. He never does things to please others, but his always true to himself.
8. He will not run away from problems
A mature man knows well that the best way to solve any personal, family, or work problem is to face it, rather than run away. But this doesn’t mean that he is always looking for trouble.
