Nigerian rival gangs fight with swords in Indian hospital while terrified staff hid in toilets

Chaos descended on a hospital in south Delhi, India when some Nigerians armed with swords and cleavers gained entrance and began fighting there as terrified staff hid in toilets and upper floors.

According to a report, the incident took place on Saturday morning at around 4 a.m. Three wounded Nigerians came to the hospital in Saket for treatment while their friends waited outside. Shortly after, a member of a rival gang drove up in an auto-rickshaw and barged into the hospital, and a fight ensued.

The entire incident was caught on a CCTV camera. The footage shows chilling visuals of men holding cleavers and swords as they trashed each other with the weapons for nearly an hour in the hospital reception. A guard tried to stop them but was beaten and left injured while they continued their fight. The hospital was vandalized by the Nigerians after which they ran away before the police arrived.
As the attack took place, the staff of the clinic reportedly locked down themselves to the upper floors where patients were admitted. They emerged only after it was safe to do so.
The cops have called for the thorough investigation of the matter.
