Shockwaves are reverberating across Yorùbáland and the global Yorùbá diaspora following the sudden death of the Baba Ọba (King’s Father) of the famed Oyotunji African Village in South Carolina, USA. The late Baba Ọba, Lukman Arohunfale, a revered socialite and traditionalist, passed away under circumstances already sparking fierce controversy. His death comes just days after he publicly accused the newly installed Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty Oba Akeem Adéyẹmọ Owoade, of allegedly ordering his courtiers to beat him mercilessly during a recent courtesy visit to the Oyo palace in Nigeria. In a widely circulated voice recording, the deceased recounted how what was meant to be a simple homage turned violent. “You are not a leader, you are just a businessman trying to make money for yourself” – Harrysong Calls Out Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa (Video)

He wrote; “I woke this morning highly infuriated and troubled about how much Nigerian politicians have raped this country without a conscience. Even my state Governor, Sen. IFEANYI OKOWA is worse. Aladja and my community, Ogbe Ijaw have been killing themselves for years and OKOWA is rather playing a businessman than a father and a leader he is meant to be. Come 2019, we need leaders, not politicians.

Recall, at the recent Warri Mega Fiesta headlined by Harrysong, the Arabanko singer unleashed hot steam on his former label mate, alleging that he saved the Limpopo singer’s career when the latter (Kcee) split up with former team mate, Presh (of KCee and Presh).
He Sang on the Warri Stage ;
“Kcee tell me say I nor suppose to record o. I remind am say ‘you forget, when KC and Presh broke, you just dey forget o, this lonely Warri boy o na him you meet to help you o‘,”
“I fit no get mama. I fit no get papa. I fit no get brother. But I get talent o. A wicked talent o! You can take everything from me, you can never take my place. Favour is my name.”
This interesting update comes weeks after Kcee slammed Harrysong and former manager Soso Soberekon with a lawsuit, demanding for the enforcement of his ‘Fundamental rights’.
The drawn-out feud started in January after the Samankwe singer dumped Five Star Music and launched his own company.
Though they have attempted and failed at peaceful resolution, it is obvious that neither of them is ready to bury the hatchet, especially because Harrysong insists on being independent from Kcee’s company Five Star Music.
