Woman Seun Dipeolu, 52, stole from friend who tried to help her on her birthday

Ikeja police arrested a Nigerian woman on her birthday Tuesday on suspicion of pawning multiple items of jewelry taken from a friend’s home.
Seun Dipeolu, who was out on bail for charges of principal to burglary and grand theft, was arrested on new charges of grand theft, seven counts of dealing in stolen property and eight counts of false verification of ownership to a pawn broker,
according to the Lagos Police Department.
She was arrested in the 2800 block of Seventh Street at another friend’s residence. Seun Dipeolu , who celebrated her 52nd birthday on Tuesday, declined to talk to Detective Obasoji and was taken to the Kirikiri Jail.
The woman said that, about a week ago, she let Seun Dipeolu wear some of her jewelry to a job interview, according to the report. When Seun Dipeolu came home, she was not wearing any of the jewelry. Seun Dipeolu told her that she left the jewelry at her boyfriend’s home.
