The late Baba Ọba, Lukman Arohunfale, a revered socialite and traditionalist, passed away under circumstances already sparking fierce controversy. Nigerian media personality, Toke Makinwa, who shared a quote by Dalai Lamai that reads: “Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck”, added that she is thankful for her failed relationships.
According to Toke Makinwa, she may not have reached the height she is at the moment if she was still in those relationships. She concluded her post by encouraging people who are also heartbroken.
She wrote,
“Today I am most thankful for closed doors, lost opportunities, failed relationships, broken bridges and all the things that were meant to destroy me. Thank you for pushing me to the limit, thank you for not working out. Perhaps if you did, I wouldn’t be where I am now. Few months ago, Toke Makinwa was also on social media, recounting how lonely she was. The media girl took to her Instagram stories on Thursday, July 12, 2018, to reveal that she wished she had a man.
She wrote;
“SO AT TIMES LIKE THIS GUYS, I WISH I HAD A MAN TO GET HOME TO JUST KICK IT WITH AND JUST CHAT ABOUT WORK, AND AT OTHER TIMES I GRAB THE REMOTE CONTROL…TV.”
The Rhythm FM Lagos OAP has been divorced from her fitness expert beau, Maje Ayida since 2015 when it was discovered that Maje cheated on her with another woman, Anita Solomon, whom he got pregnant in the process.
Toke has since then been making a name for herself in the Nigerian entertainment industry as an OAP at Rythmn Fm, A Vlog Series and even got her first movie role.
