One of the pilot who was a victim of the NAF aircraft crash, has reportedly died. Director of Public Relations and Information of NAF, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, who confirmed the death of the pilot, said he died after he was successfully ejected from one of the F-7Ni aircraft.Read the statement from Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola below;
“It is with a heavy heart that I regretfully announce that one of the pilots who successfully ejected from one of the F-7Ni aircraft that crashed earlier today has passed on. May his soul rest in peace. Additional details on the incident will be communicated, ”Daramola said.
A source who spoke to newsmen, said;
“Only one of the pilots was able to eject, the other one couldn’t (he is one of the best pilots in the Airforce) and he died on the spot.”
According to him, the pilot that ejected did not land well and has sustained a serious head injury which requires urgent surgery. Meanwhile here are photos of the pilot who survived the NAF aircraft crash, which occurred during rehearsal for Nigeria’s Independence Day celebrations.
