The deceased was alleged to have used diabolical powers to inflict disease on his wife for flouting his order not to attend the Omugwo (maternity treat) of their daughter, who was recently delivered of a baby. Onyiauke threatened his wife that if she went for their daughter’s Omugwo at Nteje, she would not come back alive. But the wife went against his order.
During the visit, she was struck by a strange ailment and she died two days later. Before her death, the woman revealed to her children how their father threatened to kill her through diabolical means if she dared to visit their sister that put to bed.
So, when she eventually died and the message got to her children, one of her sons, Abuchi, dashed to their father’s room, dismembered him with a cutlass and poured petrol on his remains and set them on fire” the source revealed.
