Former Presidential aide and popular critic of the Buhari-led government, Reno Omokri has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of endangering the lives of 200 million Nigerians because of his daughter. Recall that one of President Buhari’s daughters recently returned from the UK and has been self-isolating. According to Omokri, the president refused to shutdown Nigerian airports when Nigeria was dealing with only two cases of coronavirus but only agreed to shut down the airports as soon as his daughter returned from the United Kingdom.
Omokri wrote:
“The reason General @MBuhari did not restrict flights from the UK to stem #CoronaVirus in Nigeria is that his daughter was in the UK. He only restricted UK flights THE DAY SHE RETURNED. Buhari is more focused on protecting himself and his family than Nigerians.“
